24 is back! but the question is, is it better than ever?
i'm not sure how i feel about them picking up the plotline 3 years down the road. so many unanswered questions...
what happened to president david palmer when he received the e.coli handshake last year? the underside of his hand and wrist now looks like a split top loaf of bread, you know what i mean like that commercial where they pour butter into the split top? why 3 years down the road are they still talking about the attempt on his life? and why does he seem sickly? also, why doesn't he have a better screening process for people that work for him? it's episode one and i'm already convinced that his new girlfriend/doctor is drugging him with mystery medicine. and where is lady macpalmer? she can't disappear without a trace or an explanation, i won't stand for that. she's the character we all love to hate. i hate loose ends.
why is kim working for CTU? how did she become a computer expert? last we saw her she was running amok in a wet white tank top and trying to avoid being eaten by cougars. she was a moron then, but now three years later she's a computer genius? i hate you kim.
i glanced away quickly from the tv last night and missed something important. now tony and michelle are married? they showed their wedding rings awfully quickly. am i never supposed to turn my head away from the tv b/c important details are going to be addressed in a split second? congratulations tony and michelle.
why is jack and kate's relationship over? whatthefuck happened? i want answers. bring back kate warner.
a hearty hello and welcome to the newest 24 hottie, chase. i think i have a mystery for you to solve in my pants. i'm willing to overlook the fact that you slightly resemble david silver of 90210 fame, as long as you promise to go shirtless a bit this season. also, lose the romance with that kim bitch, we all hate her, so i don't want to have to hate you by default.
and the biggest question? how the fuck did jack bauer end up "chasing the dragon"? jack, i can't believe you are on heroin. how are you supposed to save the world with a monkey on your back? i'm worried that you won't be able to perform your job as "america's hero" when you are fiending. i'll admit writers, you've made things interesting, but serious drug withdrawal on the job? ever heard of methadone?
please don't jump the shark 24! i couldn't bear it. maybe george mason (r.i.p.) had the right idea last year when he went down in glory and in flames?
