my favorite ny york yankee fan (boy, i never thought i'd ever say that expression!) has called me out and asked me to weigh in on the whole a-rod debacle. truth be told, i'm already over it. ny can have a-rod, personally i think it's going to be a big fat mess. there is no way that jeter and a-rod are going to be bff. and if jeter is out sick some game and a-rod steps in and outshines him, there is going to be a shitstorm within the organization. i'm more concerned with my darling boys mending any rifts that have occurred during the whole nomar-manny-arod thing and playing another season of championship baseball. we're only really missing one linchpin (in terms of hitting) and that's todd walker, but our new second baseman pokey reese will take care of bidness i'm sure. besides, pitching is what wins championships and we've got a mothergrabbing amazing bullpen. can i get a hell ya for pedro martinez, curt schilling, d.lowe, mike timlin, keith foulke, scott williamson and dear sweet timmy wakefield. i am so not worried at all. dear ny yankees, you can have a-rod we don't want him. (also, good luck and iggy bless to john burkett who turned down the evil empire in favor of retiring! noble? i think so...)
