updating = chore. clearly, i'm not the only one who feels this way...
last thurs i went and got drunk at an art exhibit and then saw MUSE at axis. i highly recommend the bug/jellyfish portion of the art exhibit and the latest MUSE album. the lead singer of muse is my latest boyfriend. i want him to play piano for me on sundays while i cook him breakfast. if he wanted, i'd even install one of those pamela/tommy naked swings over his piano to make things more interesting. either way, i want to sit between his legs while he plays piano with his arms around me. a musical hug if you will. naked or no.
last friday, i moved into my very own apartment. like with matt from MUSE, i am in love. it's mine mine mine and you can't have it. all my stuff is there and fits so fucking wonderfully that i could even get more stuff if i wanted. it's bigger than i remembered. i sat there once the movers left and played "court and spark" and smoked a cigarette (inside!) and lit a candle and was so blissfully contented i didn't know what to do. i could've cried from happiness, but instead i just sat and soaked it all in. perfect.
when you move into a new place, people bring you gifts, it's fucking gorgeous. a and d brought me a tulip plant and the most delicious brownies ever (olive oil being the secret apparently). b took me to dinner. mom and dad brought baked goods, an orchid plant and the loveliest arrangement (lilies, tulips, roses, lilac) ever; they also took me to dinner. i am a taurus (may 19), we are greedy and love "things". but in truth, i'm gladder that payback can happen now. for all the peeps who put me up when i lived in the hood, i now offer my place for drinks and conversation and sleep and sundries and whatever else can occur between the hours of 10pm and daylight.
